Last weekend I took a pair of hedge trimmers and cut everything tall in my garden down to the ground.
Good idea? Spring will tell.
I asked around before I did this and couldn’t get a straight answer on whether it was something I should or shouldn’t do. But the idea of those browned, wilted leaves settling under ice and snow all winter and then peaking out come spring left me feeling spurred to action (of some sort).
But now that I’ve done it, and my back yard looks like someone came through with a pair of hedge trimmers and cut everything tall down to the ground, I’m rather less certain, and both curious and a little afraid of what spring will bring for the N. Family Back Yard.
