The top photo is Scott taking out the dishwasher. The new one gets installed today but we took the old one out to make sure there wasn’t any water damage on the floor beneath it. His T-shirt reads “Drive it like you stole it.”
Now with the replacement wood and a sea of removed blue tiles I can see what the kitchen would have looked like with a neutral-colored floor. BORING! My honey-colored cabinets simply cannot support a neutral floor. Several people told me that I wouldn’t want visitors looking at my floor. I thought, You haven’t see my 20-year old linoleum counter tops. The floor is exactly where I want people looking! Besides, I have all those retro jamming 1950’s birch cupboards.
