Betsie and I sat down to the Birds after a dinner of Middle Eastern take out. We had both seen it before, although it had been a good 20+ years for both of us. She found the animatronics and stuffed birds to be a little ridiculous. I, on the other hand, was genuinely startled and sometimes even frightened by the special-effects. I was totally taken in! I loved The Birds, and while she sat there giggling at the silliness of it all I was thoroughly entranced as the plot went from lighthearted to dark and mysterious. Two thumbs up for The Birds!
