This is a pin given to me at Beginning Workshop by a librarian with A LOT more social media followers than me!
Anglo-American Cataloging Rules 2 Revision 2002 21.26:
Spirit Communications!
Enter a communication presented as having been received from a spirit under the name of the spirit.

Enter the name of the medium or person who recorded the communication only secondarily.
So please, please, please, please! If you get a spirit communication, be sure to verify the spelling of the spirit’s name or names. Otherwise, we could have dozens of entries from the same spirit listed under variations of the name and WE MIGHT NEVER KNOW they’re all actually from the same spirit and building toward a mythic communication. You would click on the name of the spirit in the library catalog and get JUST ONE COMMUNICATION, NOT THE FULL CONVERSATION. All because the medium failed to gather the correct spelling. In librarianese, the records would not be properly collocated.
