Medal of Honor Ceremony

If I had more time to blog right now, I would compose a post about the YouTube video embedded here where President Biden awards the Medal of Honor to Korean War Veteran Ralph Puckett Jr. That post would gracefully tell you that:

  • The Prime Minister of South Korea was there. Cool.
  • President Biden helped Mr. Puckett stay on his feet because the 94-year-old hero is no longer a spring chicken. Cool.
  • Biden and the Prime Minister took a knee beside Puckett’s wheelchair for family pics. Niiiiiiice.

This whole ceremony was beautifully done.

  1. I wonder why it took until now to award this honor but glad he finally got it. Your Great Uncle Duane served during the Korean War as you know. I served there after the war in the same unit as the medal recipient. It really chocked me up to see the same unit patch on his arm as the one I wore. Thanks for posting this Sonya. For a soldier the Medal of Honor is the highest
