I’ve wanted to write before now but it’s a little tricky to be talking about your medical progress when you’re on FMLA. Better safe and discreet than sorry. I’ll keep it brief. My nightly oxygen has been increased twice since I last checked in, but oxygen alone hasn’t solved my issues. My pulmonologist and myContinueContinue reading “Resilience”

FMLA
What’s the latest scoop of Snakelady for those of you who have allowed my bit of chaos into your lives? There is a reason I haven’t written in a month. I’m in a situation that I hoped would end, would go away, and I could write about it in wry 20/20 hindsight. Well, the bestContinueContinue reading “FMLA”

This configuration will store from 18 to 24 bottles depending on their diameter. If thisContinueContinue reading “Progress Report on the Wine Cupboard”
There’s an App for That
Smartphone app detects mood swings via voice analysis: This would be so awesome. Then they could send me a text saying, “Up your Lithium” or whatever else. It still has a human component, which is cool, but a 3rd party monitoring system just to keep a little check going would be awesome.
First World Problem of the Day: Putting me in my place (setting)
I’m at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island for a library conference. You may know that the Grand has formal dining service. As we are pre-season we were told the dress requirements would be waived but the food would be just as good. Excellent. I had no trepidation entering the waters of a formal diningContinueContinue reading “First World Problem of the Day: Putting me in my place (setting)”
