Sweet As…

Candy. Today Hubby and I added a new member to our family. She is a one and half year old rescue cat. We spent an hour with her on Saturday, and we spent some time thinking about it. Friday night I had dreamed of kittens – and being a 35 year old female with no children I often dream of babies. I don’t want a baby but… a new cat? Yeah, I’m all over that.

She is SUCH a good cat. I went back to visit her last night (to make sure my cat was OK!) and today we adopted her. Her name was Peaches at first but she is just so SWEET Hubby suggested Candy and that’s what we decided on.

Here’s Candy still at Mid-Michigan Rescue:

So, she came out of her carrier, checked things out, drank, ate, used her scratching post, pooped, then went to Dad for playtime. She is exactly what we were looking for. Bethesda? “My” cat. We wanted a cat for Hubby. Bethesda definitely knows that there is another cat in the house even though they haven’t met (Candy will spend her first few days in a spare room with all her “stuff” and Hubby and I will alternately sleep in there – the other of us with Miss B.) and she is Ok so far – no scratching at the door, growling, etc. She’s getting lots of extra attention from Mumma and Daddy.
Little Miss Candy Cane is a very welcome addition.
