Free – Kind of

Did you know there’s a company that will print free business cards for you? OK, a friend told me about this years ago and I was all like, whatever, there’s no such thing as a free lunch. But they came back up and I went to their site and sure enough, they have free business cards.

They also try to sell you a million other things and by the time I was done being intoxicated by seeing my name with my favorite colors and my favorite quotes all over a bunch of stuff I’d spent $50.

OK, so if you can head into Mission Mode and just need free business cards, go to VistaPrint.

By the way, if for any reason you need some of my business cards (on glossy paper, an extra $9.99, with a quote on the back “Your library is your portrait” – Holbrook Jackson – an extra $3.99) or some matching notepads or return address labels, let me know (yes, I’m offering you return address labels with my name on them- I sure don’t need all the ones I ordered and you may have some creative use for them. Maybe I should send them to Sallie Mae, they send me enough mail).

$50. Grrrrr.

And yes, I am advertising my Web administration business on this stuff. And yes, I did forget to put the URL on the 250 business cards I ordered (well, the name is there, you know how to Google don’t you?).

$50. Growl.
