Say Good-Bye to Tupperware My Dear

We have the grooviest Tupperware in the history of Tupperware. It’s of the orange or yellow or av0cado series from the 70s or maybe 80s. I blogged years ago about always hooking with the partner who got the Tupperware from their last relationship. I did.

I love my orange Tupperware. It works like a charm. It’s cool. It’s the throwback of all throwbacks and I display it proudly. My mom had the yellow but she’s long since replaced it with tasteful ceramic blue containers in a kind of country theme.

But. But. After all of this floor shopping I realize that they’re simply not going to match the floor. This saddens me. The last time (several years as well as 5 minutes ago) I looked at “new” Tupperware (shudder) it was clear. So. What? You have a large to small grouping of canisters with varying amounts of food in them so visitors can see how much is in each one and then throw off the whole large-to-small theme and in general display your dirty laundry? Yes, in three of four of my canisters I have sugar, brown sugar and powdered sugar. Want to fight about it?

I’ll be sorry to see it to go in the cupboard, but go it has to in homage to the new floor.

I’ve gotten word from the contractor that the burgundy cut-ins will arrive next week and then Mario will come and do the serious measuring. Mario rocks.
