The post on Nicholas and Mary was the last post in my family history project. No one in the family has been able to get back any farther than them so for now we wrap up. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about my family. It was a very satisfying experience for me to write about. And now back to regular blogging!

I’ve read your family history project with great interest because I believe the patriarch of the family may have come from that area (certainly his wife did). I’m extremely interested in obtaining a copy of Ms. Klopott’s dissertation. But, being a resident of Belgium and not seeing myself being able to visit the NY State Library in the foreseeable future, can you suggest how I might procure a copy of her document?

Dissertation Abstracts International maintains and prints on demand most dissertations published in the United States. It is a subscription service and I don’t have access to confirm that Klopott’s dissertation is included. Check with a librarian there. If DAI has it, you can have a copy printed at a reasonable rate.
