Scout’s Mousy Pouch

Scouty and Mama playing the mousy game

There’s this thing called the Mousy Game.

A small, black, cloth bag

This here is the Mouse Pouch. I wear it in the house. When I get it out, Scouty begins following me around. My friend Melany from the UU church made it for me custom to hold my TENS unit.

Small bag full of cloth mice

It’s a small cross-body bag in the colors I wear most frequently at work: black, grey, with a pop of purple.

Now, I fill it with catnip mousies. About twice a week we have to go on a mouse hunt and take a stick under the furniture and dig them all back out.

Every time Scout needs to be distracted/entertained/diverted/rewarded (I.e. every 1-2 mins), I sing the mousy song to get his attention and then throw it.

It’s that or the entire house will be destroyed.
