Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 18th wedding anniversary. I got a good bottle of port for Snuggles. He’s buying me a new wedding band.

Mom came up this weekend and we enjoyed a special, homemade meal together to celebrate; she even helped us through a bottle of champagne. That’s fitting as I took Snuggles home to meet her on our first date. I figured the best way for him to get to know me was to get to know my family.

Marrying Snuggles was one of the best decisions of my adult life. My wedding gift to him was a watch with the inscription: “The Best Is Yet to Come.” It is as true today as it was then.

Here’s to our next 20 years.
